The tree pendant measures 2" in diameter, the frame was hammered out of vintage bronze wire, the trunk and branches are also vintage bronze wire.
Measuring 16 1/2" long, with an additional 2 1/2" adjustable chain with a turquoise drop accent, the necklace length suits most necks. The chain, lobster clasp, and bead tips are brass. The brown freshwater pearls are beaded onto black Stringth, professional beading string.
According to the Encyclopædia Britannica, the tree of knowledge, connecting to heaven and the underworld, and the tree of life, connecting all forms of creation, are both forms of the world tree or cosmic tree. For me the tree of life represents family and the wonderful circle of life.
